The life of a teacher is full of scenarios that could be cinematic gold, should we actually have time to write down our daily thoughts, or even use the toilet, for that matter.

Thankfully, The Office has numerous vlips that portray the life of a teacher, better than we could even articulate ourselves, perhaps.

The month of May, in particular, can prove to be very taxing as the school year comes to an end. So, let the comical gold of Michael Scott and company, from Dunder-Mifflin Paper, walk you through a day in the life of a teacher in May.

(Click each VLIPSY video clip to toggle the sound on and off)

1. When a student asks you to tell them a joke, and you reply with “Your Grades.”

2. When a student uses your markers to doodle on the board…

3. When students are upset with you at the revised bell schedule for the week…

4. When a student tells you the test you’ve assigned is the same day as another class’ test…

5. When you walk by a teacher’s room and can hear them reprimanding a student…

6. When a student lets you know there is a grammatical mistake on the board and the rest of the class laughs…

7. When you open your paycheck…

8. And just when you thought your paycheck couldn’t get any worse…

9. When it’s the end of the year and you finally tell “that kid” how you really feel…

10. …Then you realize you probably shouldn’t have said that…

11. When it’s the end of the day and you accidentally snap on your kids, because you’ve been proctoring tests all day, you’ve had two parent meetings, and your only planning period was taken up with a staff meeting…

12. What you really want to say to a parent when calling them for the 12th time this school year about their child misbehaving… (minor language warning)

13. When there are only a few weeks left in the school year and you notice that a new student has been added to your roster…

14. When the bell rings on the last day of school…
