There are only a few times in the year when we can brag about the benefits of being a teacher, and one should not hold back! Here’s a special shoutout to all the teachers enjoying their well-deserved break. But, while the lucky ones do get to rest, let’s not forget all those who actually work a second job during school breaks and the ones who actually spend countless unpaid hours grading and prepping their classes before they return back to the classroom.
1. Winter break goals!
Until further notice I shall be in bed, binge watching Season 2 of @YouNetflix!! #TeacherOnWinterBreak

2. Definitely too long.
Dressed up for an hour to go out & eat. That was maybe the 2nd time I’ve wore jeans these past few weeks and that was an hour too long.. #teacheronbreak

3. Living my best life!
If anyone is curious about how I’m spending my last few days of break, I woke up at noon today and I’m still in bed watching grey’s anatomy. ? #TeacherOnBreak

5. This winter break is sponsored by Netflix.
@Stranger_Things is emotionally draining me? So close to finishing my Christmas Break Binge Pick though. #threemoreepisodes #teacheronbreak #bingeeee

6. Once a teacher, always a teacher.
Do teachers actually ever take a break? Just opened my fully funded Donors Choose goodies and I just couldn’t help myself. Printer going, new laminator rolling, and lots of reading games being created and stored in my new storage containers and binders. #teachersonbreak ?? pic.twitter.com/vddrQDHK8A

7. The perfect winter break morning.

Sometimes you just have to take a morning to yourself to sit on the couch with a cup of hot coffee and snuggle up with a book.

Have you set aside time for yourself this break?#selfcare#teachersonbreak#teacherswhoread pic.twitter.com/aGyB16R6m7
8. Living the life before going back…
Headed home from coffee shop, had sushi for lunch, now watching Harry Potter for my break before back to work. Loving life as a #teacheronbreak

10. Glorious break
My kiddos just left to spend a few days with their grandparents. As a teacher & mom, I’m ALWAYS with “my kids”, so being #FORREAL alone is unfamiliar territory. Ya’ll, I just got to drive AND shop ??ALL??BY??MYSELF?? for things only “I” wanted & it was GLORIOUS. #TeachersOnBreak pic.twitter.com/L7n0Ep2HCi

11. #sorrynotsorry!
Things I’ve done over break so far: read a book, snuggled my littles, went on dates with my husband, logged 15 miles ??♀️, drank & ate too much coffee and Godfather’s dessert pizza…AND have done nothing school related. #notsorry #teachersonbreak #teachermentalhealth pic.twitter.com/rmVAypLqbf

12. Just enjoying the break!
I have not done one single ounce of work or stepped foot at school over break. May regret it later, may not. #teachersonbreak #selfcare pic.twitter.com/Ct8q82c5TX

16. What day is it?
There’s nothing quite like the lawlessness that exists between Christmas and the New Year. I just ate a chocolate bar for breakfast, ignored 10 emails, and didn’t make coffee ’til 11AM. #teachersonbreak #Imgonnapayforthis #whatdayisit #myclotheswontfitwhenIgobacktowork
