Teachers are such incredibly special people.

And at times, they are a special kind of crazy. I say that with love because I am one, and I work with a whole school full of them. No one knows how to have fun quite like teachers. Given the choice, I’d hang out with educators over doctors, accountants, or just about anyone else.

If you’re involved in education in any way—and really, who isn’t?—you need to see the Bored Teachers Comedy Show. It’s more than just a night of laughs. It’s a TOTAL  experience you won’t forget. Here’s why.

1. It’s a teacher reunion.

I attended my first Bored Teachers Comedy Show in February. We were among an incredibly rowdy group of Las Vegas teachers, and let me tell you, the entire experience did not disappoint.

Let me set the stage. Actually, let’s talk about the stage. It was beautiful. Bored Teachers pulls out all the stops for their show venues. The Smiths Center in Las Vegas is elegant, and everyone had an excellent seat in the entirely sold-out show.

Las Vegas is home to the fifth-largest district in the country, but when a group of teacher friends gets together anywhere, it’s a small-town reunion. Conversations after running into old teacher friends were happening all over the place:

“Remember when we taught together in 1994 at Washington ES, and people used to stare at us because we would dive into the lounge birthday cake at 7:30 a.m.? Those were the days.”

2. It’s a teacher revival.

The comedy show is more like a revival of sorts. We all need a place to release trauma through laughter, and this is the place where we belly laugh our pain away. Compared to the other shows I’ve been to in town, the drinks were cheap, and teachers can THROW DOWN.

We settled into our seats as a large group of teachers filed in, one by one, wearing Cricut-made T-shirts with slogans like “Most likely to Steal the Stapler from the Lounge” and “Most likely to Raise Hand at Staff Meeting.” I tried not to blatantly stare at their chests, but the shirts were very creative and I had to read them. This is the Bored Teachers Show Vibe, and we loved it.

Comedian and host KC Mack enters to a heavy bass track that gets everyone on their feet. All those Jack Hartman and TikTok moves are paying off as the crowd energy is electric and magical.

3. Every laugh is meaningful.

Each Bored Teachers Comedy Show performance features four top-tier comedians, the very same ones you’ve seen in those viral skits that rack up millions of shares on social media. Seeing them live, though? That was a whole different experience—raw, unfiltered, and ridiculously funny.

Every laugh mattered and hit home. We all thought, “Wow, every teacher goes through the same thing. It’s not just me.” What we endure is unreal, and the humor comes from its outrageousness. There were jokes about administrator and parent unreasonableness, staff meetings, and the occasional bodily function. I mean, we do teach kids, right?

I had an administrator sitting in the same row as me, and he was laughing harder than anyone I have ever seen, especially at the micromanagement jokes. To be honest, I thought he was going to hurt himself.

Before the show ended, one teacher nearly crashed the stage. MC KC handled the situation with his usual comedy and laughs.

4. Meet & Greet: merch, photos, and autographs!

One of the best parts of the night came after the show when we got the chance to meet the comedians in person. Every comedian (Bri, Liz, Devin and KC) made themselves available.

They stuck around to chat, take pictures, and sign autographs, making the experience even more memorable. There was also a great selection of merchandise—T-shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, and even some inside-joke products. The popular FTK (If you know, you know) merchandise was offered for sale after the show.

The comedian entertainers took the time to joke around with fans, making everyone feel like an old friend. It was a great way to end the huge educator party.

Don’t miss out!

And the best news of all? The laughter is spreading! Bored Teachers is hitting the road in a big way, adding shows in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada! That’s right—teachers across the world will now have the chance to experience this must-see event.

If you’re an educator (or you just love one), this show is for you. It’s a chance to escape the stress, enjoy an evening dedicated to you, and walk away feeling refreshed. Trust me—you don’t want to miss it.
